The Summary Report of the 2025 African Political Parties Summit is now available and can be downloaded.

The African Political Parties Summit (APPS), held from 12–14 August at the Accra International Conference Centre, marked a significant milestone in advancing political governance and party development across the continent.

Building on the Africa Governance Centre's African Political Parties Initiative, which was launched by President John Dramani Mahama on 7 March 2025, the summit convened over 700 delegates from 30 countries and 48 political parties to explore strategies for aligning party systems with Africa's economic transformation agenda.

The deliberations culminated in the adoption of the Accra Declaration, a landmark commitment by political parties to foster collaboration and institutional reform in Africa's democratic journey.
