The AYPF is grounded in the conviction that Africa’s transformation requires inclusive leadership with youth at its centre. Designed to serve as a platform for engagement, learning, and collaboration, the Forum convenes young politicians, activists, reformers, and emerging leaders who are either already shaping governance outcomes in their countries or aspire to do so. Its purpose is to create a space where these actors can share ideas, co-develop solutions, and build a
shared vision for effective governance and sustainable development.
The inaugural edition of the Forum, held in Accra, Ghana in partnership with the Government of Ghana, brought together over 1,000 young people alongside youth political leaders from across the continent. The Second Edition seeks to
build on that foundation with greater continental reach and a strengthened network of institutional partners.
